"Attractive" Partier Sues Bar

Encouraging “physically attractive” patrons to use the dance floor to promote booze sales contributed to a Calgary woman breaking her arm, a lawsuit claims.

Courtney Lacroix is seeking $500,000 in damages against the Roadhouse Nightclub, after she fell and injured herself on Halloween night two years ago.

It would be fun to run that trial and call an expert to give opinion evidence concerning whether or not the plaintiff was attractive.

I think I found her profile on Facebook but can't be sure. It's semi-locked down but the name, location and some other stuff works out. Her profile pic, while she is wearing a bikini, is too distant to form any definitive opinion as to attractiveness.

If this goes anywhere, you better believe her Facebook account is going to be fair game for disclosure. There's no way she's not chirping about that on there.

What do people go to clubs for other than to drink and dance? I get that the 'excessive amount of alcohol served' BS excuse is out, but that's a two-way street.

I love how it's everyone else's fault except hers she got hammered and broke her arm.

What the heck does that even mean? How do you get depressed from this incident? It's not like a silicone jug exploded on the dance floor and everybody laughed . . . yeesh . . .

I don't get these "I was stupid, so pay me" lawsuits. She got sloshed, who has a clue how she fell and broke her arm? That's gonna happen when you drink too much.

Now, the Roadhouse should not have over-served her. She should accept some responsibility for accepting that many drinks, methinks. It will be interesting to see if that results in any law changes.

Bars should institute a punch card or something type system.
Upon entrance you are given a punch card. Every time you order a drink they punch your card. After 24 punches they quit serving you.
