I have a 40+ foot Columnbine Apen that had the top third of the main trunk snap off in this mornings windstorm... Any advice or anything I should do? Hate to lose it - gorgeous tree...

They were great when we needed tree work done. They'll probably just come out and prune it, hopefully you won't lose too much of it.

Like completely snapped off and left the core exposed?

Just have someone to come in a prune it, the tree will heal itself.

When we had branches snap off, we would tar over the exposed core
