Default Chipped Tooth - No Dental Plan

I chipped a tooth pretty badly on the weekend and have no dental plan to get it fixed. Also, I can't qualify for free or reduced rates because I earn above their threshold. Since I don't have an extra $1000 to simply pay outright for the procedure I'm turning to CP to see if anyone has a reasonable suggestion?

Thanks!

I didn't look through this entirely, but it might help:

Just buy a box of chiclets. You can have a fresh new tooth after every meal.

Check out dentists at universities. My wife gets her dental work done at the university and it's cheap, they do a good job too.

The dental school in Alberta is in Edmonton; dunno if that's out of the question for the OP.

I saw this already and unfortunately I don't qualify for any of it. Thanks for taking the time to look though!

I'll spend $70 in gas and drive to Hellmonton if it means I save a whack of cash on the procedure. I'll check into it now...

I'd be one tooth to the right (his left). Same sort of chip though.

Even if you did have dental coverage, it would be unlikely that you would have gotten any of the procedure paid for. Fixing chipped teeth is typically considered a cosmetic procedure and not typically covered by the vast majority of dental plans.

Start a hockey team.

Make sure one player is a dentist.

Befriend said dentist.

Get new friend to fix broken teeth.

That's what I did anyways.

If the root is exposed then I require a root canal. That is not cosmetic. I'm less worried about the tooth and more worried about my gums becoming infected.

I chipped my tooth around 6 years ago at the bar. It has become part of who I am, part of my identity. I say, enjoy it.
