Good evening CPHL GM's, my name is Mr. CPHL Rumor Guy and I will be providing you with some of the rumors from around the league. I have been hearing many names floating around so let's get at it.
Avalanche News:
Word out of Colorado is that they are shopping Thomas Greiss for an upgrade. Wayne Simmonds' name keeps getting throw around but there are currently no solid offers on him.
Sharks News:
GM therizzle is making a splash with several trades lately and we hear there is a deal being hammered out with Minnesota for Dion Phaneuf. Heatley is rumors to be going the other way.
Canucks News:
GM Mango has gotten several offers lately on David Krecji. She is hesitant to move him but will not rule it out if the right deal comes along. We hear Philly, Oilers and Jackets are possible destinations.
Oilers News:
GM Cheese has been talking with several GM's about bringing in a real sniper. Alfredsson and Gionta are two names being thrown around but it expected Cheese will see how his team does in the first 5 games before he makes any decisions.
Jackets News:
Nittymaki has worn out his welcome in Columbus. He has not been shopped yet but expect his name to start circulating soon. Rene Bourque might also be headed out of town because GM Ravi has shown some major interest. He would like to add to his flames pool of players.
Flyers News:
We hear Tim Thomas will be out the door soon with a different #1 goalie coming back. Preds, Panthers and Blues are interested.
Panthers News:
Jaroslav Halak has gotten some major interest from several GM's. Philly is VERY interested and has been trying very hard to land him. We hear that if Philly can somehow obtain 20 5ths, Halak could be his!
Wild News:
Grant is contacted on a daily basis about several of his players. The most available right now is Wojtek Wolski so don't be surprised to see him traded for an upgrade very soon.
Devils News:
Taylor Hall could be on the move. We hear there are several teams who are interested. The most interested are the Penguins, they are at the top of the list. The potential deal would see Tyler Seguin and another top bluechip prospect headed back to NJ. Other potential destinations for Hall are Minny and Montreal.
Thrashers News:
The Thrashers are desperately trying to add some depth. There have been talks with several GM's but they always ask for Datsyuk who is NOT available. GM Neil is looking at 2nd tier guys like Thomas Holmstrom from Edmonton and Brendon Morrow from the Hawks.
