That 19% would look pretty good in our pockets. I highly doubt Klein would cut that entire amount like some people say. That said, i think cutting it down to 10% would still make it very attractive.
I will sell my house for 500grand to any BC or Ontario people out there.

I really don't think there needs to be much of a tax cut. I would rather the extra money be poured into Health, Education, Infrastructure, Moving our economy off Oil and Gas reliance, and putting money in the bank for the future (all in that order).
We really do not pay that much taxes

Maybe i am in the minority but i would rather see that money put into savings as opposed to subsidizing what are already some of the lowest taxes in North America.
Oil money should be saved and converted into financial assets that then can be milked for generations instead of just one.
Norway already has 100 BILLION saved up....

I was under the impression that Alberta already had a 10% income tax rate. I could be wrong (as I haven't done my taxes this year yet), but I thought that was the case. I'm gonna have to find out and get back to you.
Edit:
Yup, found it. The provincial income tax rate is a flat 10%. I'm not 100% sure where you got that 19% from, but as far as I can tell it isn't right. So looks like you got your wish.

Much better But I'll still take that tax cut over shorter ER lines or subsidies to whining college students-to-be.

Wow ok. Is it 19% that is the federal income tax?
Well anyways we should be like Hong Kong. No income tax paid at all unless you make over $250000us /per year. So your $3000 check is exactly $3000 into your chequing account.
Don't we already have Billions in that Rainy day Heritage fund?? Maybe we should build another university in Calgary.

Exaclty we already have the Heritage Trust fund. Just put some more cash in there and then give me my money back.
Tax break is what I would want. as well give some more to Schools and Hospitals.
If the rumors are true and Gas goes up to 105 buck a Barrell (as per another post on the board) the province wont need our tax dollers.

They are. Mount Royal will be a full fledged U in a couple years. I think they are in phase 3 of a 5 stage mega plan.

We should be concerned with what's best for Albertans now and long term, not just our own selfish monetary interests. Probably too much to ask for given the priorities our society has. Hard to find people these days that aren't just concerned about looking after themselves and maximizing their own financial outlook.

Tax only the wealthy? Blasphemy! Everyone knows that you have to concentrate society's capital at the top, so that large infrastructure development can take place to assist the little people.
Communist

(I agree, tax everyone making over x dollars, and make x higher than what I make.)

That said. The highest tax bracket in HK is only 15%!!! insane. Well i guess you need the money if you have to buy a 450 squarefoot apartment with NO bedrooms for $350,000us like my sister in law. eek!!!
