Default Still seeing roster issues

Folks I'm still seeing teams with not enough depth.

You need to have extra bodies at EVERY position. You will suffer injuries. If you have combined in the NHL/AHL levels:
4 goalies
24 forwards
or
12 dmen.

It's not enough!

Make some moves to get your depth in order. If team roster issues cause us not to be able to sim once the regular season starts we will dock cap and draft picks from offending teams.

Questions?

I apologize for my goalie situation. I got caught due to a 1 game suspension. My rosters were almost maxed out so I was actually thinking about grabbing another forward or dman because if I had one more injury or suspension for one of my Dmen I would have been short there two. It will be tough with the limited AHL roster size but it will make things interesting for sure

I think we should look at expanding rosters. I've already run into issues in the pre season running short of Dmen with 3 injured at one time...and I was carrying 14 at the time

I would be in favour of expanding the roster to 27-30, that way the AHL team can have 15 forwards, 8 or 9 D men, and 3 or 4 goalies and maybe room for an extra forward if need be.

It would allow for every team to be able to deal with 5 or 6 injuries without much difficulty

At this point expanding rosters is not on the table. This is the game - part of the challenge is dealing with injuries. That means you might have to make trades, sign guys and release others.

If a team runs into a real rash of injuries at the AHL level we are always pretty forgiving and will help them out - but that's only if they have an appropriate amount of depth.

If losing one goalie, or one dman or one forward puts you in a bind - then that's a problem you should have been able to deal with.

Also - you can make sure you that you don't have "full farm" checked at the AHL level. That will allow you to dress fewer players and thus have that much more depth down there. Some teams are sending in lines with "full farm" on which forces you to have a complete roster.

When you click on your team it's in the bottom right corner.

As much as I'd like to see a roster expand, I don't see the need for it. We are allowed 49 bodies between CPHL & AHL. With 24 F, 12 D, 4 G, thats 40 mandatory bodies. You can 9 extra bodies, 3 at each position and be fine. My 2.5 cents.

If anyone needs to fill a forward spot I will give you Ryan Bayda, I don't want any compensation.

I'm one of those GM's that needs to get some additional bodies. I will hopefully spend some time this weekend moving things around so we have a bit of flexibility.

My apologies if this has caused any inconvenience.
