Trust me, I found that out.

AHS can get their tickets paid when you renew your vehicle registration? Is that what you are saying? Christ...

Well, seems logical, since both fall under the auspices of the Government of Alberta...

Here's a better question- do you want it so you can never park at a hospital again? (At least not with that car.)

I need a question regarding Impark answered.
I was doing a quick transfer of my wheelchair and I guess I received a parking violation. I was there for maybe 15 min in the evening and in an Impark lot. I didn't see the ticket for 4 days, stuffed low on the windshield, on the passenger side and it snowed.
I have tried to contact Impark with no success, as of now I think the ticket is $65, which is outrageous! Does any one have advice on how to deal with this situation?
TIA

The 'I was only there for x mintues' never works regardless of what you were doing. Why are you trying to contact them anyway? Just pay it and move on.

So I am curious as to why you are not paying it?

Noted. I would like to know if there are options.

Fair enough. Sorry if I came off abrupt, I just have parking rage from time to time.

In my research that seems to be the consensus.
When I use an accessible parking pass, I have a sense of entitlement like an exotic car owner.

Did you just park and not pay or did your parking meter run out?
You can fight it easily by submitting a claim to parking services. Was it the standard $50 ticket? I got one b/c I parked in the wrong area with a pass and they reversed it no questions asked.
I hate AHS parking with a passion.

Paid for an hour and I ended up there a bit longer than I thought I would be. Parking expired at 1:30, was chalked at 1:43 and ticketed at 2:18. Got back to my car at 2:45.
I don't know why I don't want to pay it, I'd just rather not if I didn't have to. I feel like $3.50 was fair value for the time I parked and $43.50 isn't, so if it was possible to get out of it without paying I would have taken that option.
By the sounds of it though I guess I will just suck it up.

We have a hospital here in High River and there is no parking fee. I get that AHS feels they have to charge users for parking but I don't understand the outrageous fees. God forbid you have a family member in the hospital for an extended period and you need to visit them daily..

My dad spent some time in the Rockyview hospital this Spring. We got a weekly pass for $40. You can get a monthly pass as well.

I would argue that your family should have paid nothing. A family member in the hospital for an extended period of times often means a loss of income. The AHS should be showing some compassion.

Of course it doesn't, but explain why Calgary charges a parking fee for hospital use and here in High River they don't? Both share the same financial constraints.
