Yeah, they were saying Woods might actually step his game up now that his personal affairs are sorted out. Vaughn Taylor and Ryan Palmer also now at -6.

Haha. Tiger totally cheated on golf when he put his personal life ahead of golf.

Well of course, girls will flock to a champion!
Also he's 82nd ranked right now so he needs to do well this week or he won't qualify for the next girl/city/tournament next week.

Kevin Streelman (?) shot a 63 today, tied with Woods at -7.

Pretty even field with most shooting below par. Par after 2 days will probably be the cut today.

Yikes...Tiger 3 putts from like 12 feet, one being a miss from 2 feet.

Drops to -6. I'll be curious to see how he rebounds.

Tiger down to -5 after back-to-back bogeys on 5 and 6.

Woods made a triple on 1. His goose is cooked.

Yeah that was rough to watch. He's definitely showing glimpses but clearly he's not back yet.

The format of these playoffs is kind of boring.
Maybe they should combine these 4 tournaments into a mega tournament! 288 holes!
For example, Tiger had a good round today, he could carry his -7 into next week!

Just an awesome finish to the tournament today. I feel for Martin Laird though. 22 putts through 17 holes, and then he three-putts #18 to allow Kuchar into a playoff. And then he loses it after an absolutely astounding 2nd shot from Kuchar on the 1st playoff hole. Great suspense.

And how about Martin Laird's fiance? HOLY CRAP!

I am not going to feel too bad for Laird for too long. His second place finish still earned him $800K and guaranteed him a spot in the rest of the playoffs including going to East Lake where he will make guaranteed money for showing up.

Plus his fiance was indeed hot!

The Pro Am rule that caused Furyk to be DQ'd last week has been suspended by the PGA... Little too late for Furyk though.

Why? I think it's a good rule. Late is late.

Phil Mickelson doesn't think so:

Quote:
“The rule itself applies to only half the field,” Mickelson said at the time. “If you’re going to have a rule that does not apply to everybody, because not everybody played the pro-am, you cannot have it affect the competition. I cannot disagree with it more. I have no idea how the commissioner let this rule go through. It’s ridiculous.”
