I have a beautiful stream in my back yard.
Bring me 6 Wild Rose beers, I'll drink them, then you have about 30 seconds to get a photo of the stream*.
*No photo's of the streams origins allowed.

I was kind of expecting something along those lines. Nice work, but I'll have to pass. My dreams of becoming a professional photographer, never included being the next Maplethorpe.

a series of falls, first one is about 30-40' in height, then next ones are smaller but are awesome too. great couple hour return hike. a local might help you get to the higher falls, which can be a little hard to find for some people.

Does it have to be a mountain stream? The badlands make a spectacular backdrop for the Red Deer river, and the leaves are just starting to turn. With good weather forecast for the weekend things should be in a prime stage for autumn badlands/Red Deer river shots.

Thanks everyone, sounds like I might make a weekend of it.
/Regulator75 - I'd pay you, but then you would lose your amateur status.

There are some really cool streams/river on Highway 93 between Banff and Radium. Some of the trees there are burned out but there is still a lot of great photo ops - might be too far though.

Think of it this way - the bigger the hose, the more water it can release at once...

More like the shorter the hose the quicker the trip.
