has anyone tried Kiwi Alpha, its a new file sharing program. It seems to run fine. But it seems to good to be true. I don't have to login and theres no information I had to enter to acess the files, theres also no ads. Does anyone know if theirs a catch or have I hit the jackpot of P2P sharing programs?

I'm not sure, the first time I loaded it up and downloaded a song. It took 48 seconds. I restarted my computer and now it won't connect, so eventually I just deleted it and went back to iMesh. If someone finds out how to solve the problem I'll give it another try.

only thing i'm a little leery about is the whole "this product contains adware" warning on the page, otherwise i'd give it a try

I've tried it on a different computer and it worked, I have a firewall. Do I need to open a port to let incoming and outgoing signals go through?

I had the same feelings and when I looked around, was recommended winmx. Seems to be better than kazaa and has less corrupted files

Yes, WinMX is great for music... but for anything else, no. Usually I use a mix of torrents and IRC. To search torrents and IRC servers, use this site IsoHunt.

geez I'm dumb, after spending hours trying to figure out why it won't connect I clicked on FAQ and it says first thing. It won't work if you have a firewall or you have to have your firewall allow it! duh!

I've been using overnet/edonkey 2000 as a P2P sharing program.... i don't have the website for download but if you search edonkey you can find it pretty easily

so far i haven't had any problems with it.. but i've only been using it a little for less than a week
