Having worked in refineries, I can tell you that this type of thing is always in the back of your mind. The refinery my dad works at had an explosion last year in their Hydrogen unit and he thought he was dead for about 10 seconds.

I used to have nightmares about giant refinery fires and explosions. Very vivid nightmares.

According to the news this morning, 14 dead over 100 injured.

I remember how big the Hub Oil disaster was - you could see the fire from Airdrie - I can't imagine the kind of exlposion this would have been.

Wow, this explosion was almost on the year anniversary of the explosion at the same plant last year.

A very sad day for the families of the workers who passed away.
