The Thrashers are always in the playoffs, it's an impressive feat.
I've been the GM 3 ish seasons and last season was my first playoff...I now plan on being in them for a long time if I can make that happen.

we've been pretty regular playoff participants, but other than the one dream run it's been pretty bleak once we get there

This didn't surprise me at all. (I took over the team right before the start of 07-08). I was well aware GMs of the Stars didn't care about draft picks when I saw an empty prospect pool and no 1st round choice If they actually kept them, they made some terrible picks.

Wow I need to get those stats up for the Jackets! I will take credit for most of those Panthers stats! Ah, what once was!

Even though they are listed at the bottom of the lists, the first season with the Jets was my best as a GM by a fair margin. I had the most fun playing that year as well. Taking Grant to 7 games in the first round was awesome, too bad I couldn't have pulled off the upset.

I just wanted to point out to Mike that my Nordique made it further in our year of playoffs than his Jets in their year, even though the Jets made it to the playoffs sooner. Damn you Stu Barnes.

Also the Ovheckin ++ for Gaborik
Me trading Luongo, Parise(hadn't come close to breaking out yet) for Savard, Nittymaki, etc
Some major blunders just like the NHL.

Oh, I also wanted to point out that the blunder I am talking about was not a trade, it was a GM who forgot to protect Rick in the expansion draft.

I remember checking that protected list thread about 100 times a day. I just couldn't believe that someone had forgot to include DiPietro. I did the old EDIT-Find function several times just to be sure I wasn't missing him.
