Sharia Law, man may be paralyzed as punishment but probably not

Amnesty International on Friday urged Saudi Arabian authorities not to paralyze a man as punishment for his having paralyzed someone else, allegedly during a fight.
Incorrect and misleading title as the judge has only inquired at various hospitals whether or not it was possible. There is no order at all whatsoever.
Perhaps being mindful of the international attention, the authorities are trying to convince the victim's family to accept monetary compensation. Blood money is also accepted under Sharia law.
I wish we had the eye for an eye policy with drunk drivers.
