Suggestions on what to get a friend as a thank you for having me at his cabin
Back story: have a good friend I grew up with who always has me at his cabin every summer.
Spent a lot of time there this summer, I pitch in money and bring food/booze every time to help with septic, gas etc.. but I want to get him something he can use.. something that isn't food booze or money.
There are 6 siblings all equal parts owners, the cabin sees a lot of use so it probably shouldn't be anything highly breakable or fancy.
If you were a cabin owner what gift could a friend give you that would be very useful?
Looking to spend $100 or under.

Yes this is the right route.. something to do with bugs would be great, the bugs have been horrible in Sask this year with all the moisture and humidity.

If they are near water a lifepreserver with the cabin name on it (if they have a name)
they always look good on a boathouse or on a dock.

A thermoelectric cooler, they have them on for $94.99 at Army & Navy. To keep his road pops cool while he drives to the cabin. You do have to pay another $30.00 though for a power adaptor for regular in-house plug-in.

Serious suggestions,
- A good sharp axe + sharpener. Always good for a cabin.
- One of those things you can mount outside the door to scrape mud off boots/shoes.
- A good bottle of rye/scotch always makes a good gift.
- Mini fridge/freezer.

Ahh now we are getting somewhere.. he has a pale that he keeps on the steps to wash the sand off your feet before you go up on the deck/into the cabin or boat house.. some kind of upgrade for that would probably work awesome.

Dull axes are allot better for splitting wood, and safer for making kindlin.

A higher end bottle of wine, not a 8 dollar special. A BBQ set to go with the grilling.
Even simple things like offering to cook dinner.

What about tools? I know my brother-in-law is forever having to lug tools back and forth between the cabin and home. Last year tools started appearing on his Christmas Wish List; tools that he already owned one of but needed a second one for the cabin.
High-end solar lights. Not the $3 ones that you can buy anywhere, but the 6X brighter ones that are like $20 each.
