Default Went to Orange beach yesterday, (BP OIL BEACH)

The sand was fine. You can tell where the machines were going to clean up the sand but I didn't find a single ounce of Oil what so ever. I went swimming in the gulf while I was there but Didn't find any oil.

I think this beach will be saved from the masses of the oil.

The skimmer boat where out on the water about a mile or so out in the water and a coast guard helicopter was flying over about every hour or so.

Wow, nice beach. Not quite the same as Sikome Lake.

It is pretty, It was about a 4 1/2 hour drive one way. I was so surprised how big of a ghost town that Orange beach and Gulf Shores was.

My main goal was to go before school started for me and at least give some money to local business down there with them getting hammered by the BP deal.

So is that because of the spill, or just nobody lives there anymore?

Mainly because of the oil spill.

We ate at a local restaurant and Katie got some fish and I got a huge Ribeye steak with all the fixens for only $45. Everything is cheap right now trying to lure people in but it's not working.

The best way I could describe it would be a city on Christmas Sunday when everyone is out of town. Just had an erry feeling.
