11 year old girl and family in protective custody after image board threats

This story is disgusting. The referenced image board is a hole and is possibly the worst website on the planet right now. I dont even want to link to the board here it is so disturbing.

I know this video was posted in the funny video thread, and sure, out of context I'm sure it's very funny... but the backstory is one of death threats, child pornography, and harassment.

Parents need to get a clue and moniter their children's behavior on the internet. IE comes with a parental filter that is so damn easy to set up.

People. This is why you protect your anonymity on the internet. Also, posting n00dz of yourself is inadviseable. Just saying, theres a lot of people in the wrong here. Actually, pretty much everyone involved in this entire sordid affair is wrong.

Nothing is more satisfying than finding a dummies real identity after he/she flames and causes numerous headaches. Some jagov on a different board went by a certain handle, which he also used everywhere else. Including his email. After a few more flamed threads a simple post that said "That's enough, Jeremy" and a link to his FB account seemed to clear the problem right up.

I hear where you are coming from, but this girl is 11 years old. In this case it's horrible.

Maybe this will teach other girls out there that the internet is not some anonymous game where you can just rant off and post nudes of yourself without consequences.

She is only 11, but the words she says in some of her videos are words that should never be uttered from a child.

I feel sympathy for her becasue she is only a child, and a child needs the guidance from sane parents, and clearly her parents are a bunch of wackos.

While true. She went out of her way to bring this down upon herself. She may not have know what was going to come from this, but it is entirely her fault and the fault of her parents.

Even an 11 year old should know better than to make nude videos of themselves let alone post said videos online. What reaction was she expecting? Her parents are idiots and in their education of their daughter in regards to the appropriateness of online nude video posting, have dun goofed.

I think it's awesome. The internet is one of the only places that offers this kind of instant justice and where things sort themselves out. I was on message boards posting things and knew exactly what I was doing when I was 11/12... no sympathy from me for this girl.

Thats exactly what it is. Making others feel like crap so you can feel good about yourself. In this case it seems to be a bunch of internet [edit: friendlly users] just not knowing when to quit.

You know, that site could actually be hilarious if it was moderated better and if the people were generally good natured. Obviously it attracts a ton of scum though.

I visited there a couple times a few years ago after hearing about it in various news sources, and after not being able to unsee some things... I decided I will never go there again... not even to the non-random boards.

I swore when I was 11 and lots of kids do. The smart ones know how to do it out of earshot of parents/adults.

I don't feel sorry for her one bit. I have met 30 year olds that don't know some of the foulness and gangsta terms this little dummy was going on about.
