Default Vivid Dreams

It's kind of a weird topic but, recently I have been having more and more vivid and real dreams. I have noticed this increase after watching the movie "Inception".

Before seeing the movie, I dreamed little to none.

The last few nights, I have seen practically a full motion picture unfold in my head.

One occurring dream from the past two nights, has stuck with me.

A girl, in a western setting, wearing old school but "hip" western clothes, sits at the end of a bed, cross legged. She has her hands behind her back. She then proceeds to show the audience (me) two cards in her hand. A queen and a 5. She then proceeds do some some sexy esque moves over the bed until she makes it up to the headboard, where a blonde woman, and a old school western outlaw with a glass eye are looking through the window. One weird thing about this western outlaw is that he has a LAMP as a hand. (sounds ridiculous). This girl, then proceeds to line-up with the other two side by side. The man smirks and takes a drink out of his bottle, thinking he is gonna get some I'm guessing. These two woman then laugh together as he is poisoned from the drink. Oddly, enough, Jessica Biel was the blonde woman.

All during this sequence, CCR's "Walk on Water" song played silently through the background, then amped up in volume when the man got poisoned.

After this, it was as if the dream ended, and I was sitting at home with a copy of the "MOVIE". Except this wasn't just any ordinary movie. It was the size of and LP (possibly a lazerdisc) and folded into 3 parts to show all the major STARS of the show. I remember Curly from the three stooges was featured in it, and Clint Eastwood.

Anyways, I found it kind of odd, as I have never experienced VIVID dreams that replayed back to back on separate nights that I could remember so accurately upon waking up.

Weird.

What a letdown, I thought this thread was about something to do with Vivid Entertainment.

Dreams always seem vivid and real to me. The best dreams I have is when I float sort of like how the magicians do, but I can go a lot higher.

My grandma tells me those dreams mean you are happy, and everytime I've had a dream like that I've been extremely happy so I think she knows what she's talking about.

Suffocation waking in a sweat
Scared to fall asleep again
Incase the dream begins again
Someone chasing and cannot move
Standing rigid a nightmare's statue
What a dream when will it end
And will I transcend?

Restless sleep the minds in turmoil
One nightmare ends another fertile
It's getting to me so scared to sleep
But scared to wake now, in too deep

Even though its reached new heights
I rather like the restless nights
It makes me wonder it makes me think
There's more to this I'm on the brink
It's not the fear of what's beyond
It's just that I might not respond
I have an interest almost craving
But would I like to get too far in?

It can't be all coincidence
Too many things are evident
You tell me you're an unbeliever
Spiritualist? Well me I'm neither
But wouldn't you like to know
The truth
Of what's out there to have the proof
And find out just which side
You're on
Where would you end in Heaven or
In Hell?

Help me. Help me to find my true
Self without seeing the future
Save me, save me from torturing
Myself even within my dreams

hey narbeZ

i, like you, rarely dream.

a few years back i went to africa and i was on malaria medication (so i wouldn't get it). that stuff is rad - you want to talk about weird dreams!! part of what messed with my mind was that it was january when i went to africa - so my brain is thinking canada + january = winter but i'm in africa where it's +30, hot and sunny.

ahhh - good times... good times!!!

It's funny, since watching Inception on Friday night I have been having weirder then normal dreams as well. Nothing like what was posted above but weirder then what I normally get.

I can't say I've had recurring dreams for sure, but my dreams are like watching a movie.

Everybody dreams every night but you have to wake momentarily to remember the dream. Last I heard.

Weird I'm the exact opposite. I usually have dreams and remember bits and pieces in the morning, but since seeing Inception I haven't dreamed. Or if I have I just don't remember it at all.

Every couple of months I have a dream/nightmare and I break out in cold sweats with my heart pounding. Maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something. It's usually about a girl from 10 years ago. Those dreams are both good and bad.

Look into lucid dreaming.

Would love to master that.

Of course we are all in the Matrix, so this conversation has no real meaning.

This would be the perfect time for a Youtube video of Steve from American Dad trying out lucid dreaming but the clip doesn't exist.

Everybody dreams...some people don't remember their dreams, that's all.

Sometimes I look forward to sleeping at night simply because of the interesting dreams I'll have, which are often quite vivid and memorable.

I'm convinced that dreams and REM sleep also exist to keep us sane. It gives us the thrills and emotions and catharsis for our pent up frustrations and stresses from day to day mundane life.

Last night I dreamt that I was on a tropical adventure with a blonde in a red convertible with white leather seats and we parked and then I was climbing up a giant ladder to a tree house fortress and then escaping and having gunfights on a private jet.
