Less of the building and engineering shows, and more of raw nature. Like, animals and stuff.

I think in the 4 years of having OasisHD I have watched about 2hrs worth. Discovery is way better, Oasis is good for background noise/picture.

You guys will love 'worlds coastlines from above'. Beautifully produced and narrated.

Magnificent Italia is equally good.

Different type of television, but if you give the channel a chance you'll find a lot of quality.

Dammit. What if I want less of the raw nature, animals, and stuff and more of the building and engineering shows?

Oasis channel seems like a bit of the National Geographic, Discovery and Animal Planet channels.
Shaw has already updated their channel listing. CNNHD is part of their HD Basic package and Oasis HD is part of their HD Plus.

Honestly I watch nothing in SD any more, I get all my news from the net. Now I will watch CNN.

How does shaw keep up with this rapid pace of adding a few channels a year?

Those have been shown for some time now on Discovery HD on Shaw, and yes they are all fantastic eye candy on HD.

Har...I see what you did there.

With that being said, I'm not going to complain (for once)...

I'm happy that we got a couple more HD channels. Like a poster said above, I don't watch anything in SD anymore, so more HD is a good thing.

Too true. I start flipping at 199 and work my way up. I don't actually watch a lot of TV, and more than 90% of what I do want to watch is available in HD.
