What are you watching this summer on TV?
So what is on TV right now worth watching? I am going to delete my whole PVR, as it now just records repeat shows that I have already watched. I spend half an hour trying to find SOMETHING worth watching or something I am willing to watch twice instead of finding something new. I am stuck in a PVR-loop.

Big Brother starts tonight. It's mindless fun for the summer.

Big Brother is usually good for some laughs, Hell's Kitchen as well and we've been watching Persons Unknown. Thats about it for us.

I've never watched a show that made me realize that I need to get outside and do something, quite like Big Brother does. It's a great motivator.

... to tell you the truth, not much at all. Everything I like is in reruns and haven't seen any new summer shows yet.
I also hate reality tv shows so stuff like Big Brother doesn't interest me in the least.
My PVR is completely empty.
Catching up on my reading. Just finished Stephen King's Under the Dome.

I like to scan channels like PBS, and National Geo for any good documentaries to record. 'Nova' has lots of interesting stuff, and I'm always a sucker for shows like 'Megabuilders' and others.
Oh and if I happen to be home I'll watch 'Wipeout' if it's on.

On TV right now I am pretty much just catching Hell's Kitchen with any regularity. My wife insists on watching So You Think You Can Dance, so it kills much quality time with the TV unless she is out.
Other than that, I am currently churning my way through seasons of shows that I have been putting off watching. Finished Stargate Universe, Chuck and Breaking Bad over this past long weekend and am already into season 2 of Burn Notice and the 4th season of Stargate : Atlantis.
I think next I might watch the entire most recent season of 24 that is still on my PVR, but my wife needs to watch it to so it is harder to coordinate.

Any show that gets one more person outside is "great great summer show" in my opinion!

There really is nothing on - sometimes I wonder why I even pay for cable in the summer. Pretty much the only things I watch right now (besides sports) are Discovery, National Geographic, and History. And reruns of Friends & Two and a half men.

HD Net, I think, or maybe National Geographic Channel, has had a couple of interesting specials on the Ganges river of India. Occasionally HD Net will re-run Angie Dickensen's climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is nostalgic for me. I like her cartwheel and three pushups at the top.
I'm catching up on Hung. Hilarious.
I'm catching up on Mad Men. I've basically watched the latest few episodes, but now I'm DVR'ed a lot of the first season and am halfway through watching the pilot.
Sue me but I do DVR and bounce through So You Think You Can Dance. A culturally influential show and interesting to see specialists in one discipline being forced into performing in many others. But, like an awards show, watchable only with DVR and the fast forward button.
I always loved The World At War, put together probably in the 1960's, which is now running on The Military Channel. The interviews with key people, their memories still fresh from the events of World War II and frozen forever on film, is something you probably won't find anywhere else.
