The end of Mike Vick hopefully
You think after getting the kind've 2nd chance he did, the guy would be beyond grateful.
The restaurant Vick was celebrating his birthday at, there was a shooting that night around 2AM. When it happened, Vicks people said he had left a long time ago. Turns out he left only 3 minutes before the shooting, and had an altercation with the man that got shot.

I have stated many times that I thought he should have been banned from the NFL for life. Once a thug always a thug. I don't care how many Tony Dungy's of the world come out to defend you.

I honestly cannot comprehend how this maniac manages to get into an altercation with absolutely everyone absolutely everywhere.
Its a restaraunt. Its your birthday. Who is this guy? Just leave him alone.

Ban a guy for life for dog-fighting. Overlook drugs, domestic violence, drinking, drinking and driving, etc etc.
Interesting.

If anybody else was running a massive criminal enterprise you'd have a point.
And since when has the NFL overlooked drugs, domestic violence, drinking and driving etc.? Have you not been around for the last 5 years?

It is more than just dog fighting. It is illegal gambling, associating with organized crime. The NFL doesn't need players like that.

What exactly did he do wrong? I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the article that he had an altercation with the guy who was shot. The guy who was shot is allegedly one of Vick's co-defendants from the dog-fighting trial, who showed up to the party completely uninvited.

Number one he lied about what time he left the scene at, I don't see any reason to lie about this if he had nothing to do with it.
Second, there was an altercation as per Sportscenter this morning in which the victim slapped Mike Vicks wife's hand when she went to grab some cake.
Fact is, when you've got a history like he does, and you say you left the site of a shooting a long time before it happened, then it turns out it was only 3 minutes, people are going to get sceptical

Hmm...I get the impression that Mr. Vick is not the honest, upright and outstanding citizen that we may have been led to believe...

So you wouldn't get into an "altercation" with a guy who, by showing up uninvited, is potentially violating your parole and then slaps your wife? My skepticism ended when the police said they had no interest in him.

I sure would but I don't think many times I'd leave it up to coincidence if that same guy got shot that night.
Also the police said they had no interest in him before the security tapes were released? No?

If I was on parole, and just so happened to be famous and in a position where another legal issue would likely end my carreer and any hopes of ever earning a significant income in order to pay off my massive debts, I'd probably walk away from any "altercation." But then I dont' consider myself to be an absolute idiot.
And I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the police will once again be interested now that it's become clear he was less than forthcoming initially.

Have you seen the dogs that suffer from these dog fights? Vick was involved in not just death by fighting, but hanging, shooting, drowning and electrocuting dogs. These animals were brutally tortured. And you seem to be shrugging it off like it's no big deal. Certainly less than "drinking", it would seem.

IIRC ESPN did a special about dog fighting and some of these guys would drive around in neighborhoods and find innocent dogs in yards pick them up and tie them up and have the fight dog use them as practice and just dropped back off or kill said dog.
Vick is a tool and I hope Roger gives him the boot. This guy had once second chance and he should of kept a squeaky clean record ala Ray Lewis but this idiot is running around with the same guys that he got in trouble with. So it's all on him.
