The idea is to post a lyric from a song.....hopefully we avoid common knowledge songs that everyone knows the words to. At the same time, it would be a good idea to stay away from stuff that only you would know. Post a short portion of a lyric. The person who correctly answers with the artist and song title that the lyric is from goes next.
Sounds like fun? No?
I'm first.
"Many are the dead men, too silent to be real"

Canadian Railroad Trilogy - Gordon Lightfoot (sorry, I cheated - knew it was him, forgot the song title!!)
mine:

I don't think "Freaking love the dancing ninja turtles" are lyrics to a song.
Unless it goes: "These Turtles make a fearsome fighting team! They're Turtles in a half-shell and they're green! When the evil Shredder attacks! These Turtle boys don't cut him no slice!"
Come on post a lyric spydermal! Or the game is broken!

White Room was done by Cream if I'm not mistaken?
I'll keep her going....
Baby once I thought I knew, everything there was to know about you, your sweet whisper you're tender touch....
Might be a tough one. Could be wrong though.

"Lonesome Day" - Bruce Springsteen (2002)
Baby once I thought I knew
Everything I needed to know about you
Your sweet whisper, your tender touch
I didn't really know that much
The joke's on me, but it's gonna be okay
If I can just get through this lonesome day
and my Lyrics are:
He was the wizard of a thousand kings
and a chance to meet him one night wondering.
He told me tales and he drank my wine.

Lonesome Day, Bruce Springsteen
next....
No more do I see the starlight caress your hair
No more feel the tender kisses we used to share
I close my eyes and clearly my heart remembers
A thousand good-byes could never put out the embers

New lyrics
Good Golly, said little Miss Molly
When she was rockin' in the house of blue light
Tutti Frutti was oh so rooty
When she was rockin' to the east and west
Lucille was oh so real

Deep Purple - Speed King
Here's mine
My friend assures me
It's all or nothing
I am not worried
I am not overly concerned
My friend implores me
For one time only
Make an exception
I am not worried

If so, here is the next set...
You’re cockroach with cabernet, but taste like a Milky Way. You’re gravy with gasoline & wicked with whipping cream.

Artificial Joy Club - Sick and Beautiful.
On the fourth of July eighteen hundred and six
We set sail from the sweet cove of Cork
We were sailing away with a cargo of bricks
For the grand city hall in New York

AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Irish Rover ~ Irish Descendants (popping HUGE for a celtic song, but not quite as much for Jake the Snake being on Raw last night)
At the playground, ya know
That's where I saw this cutie
This girl was swingin' and she looked so fly
On the monkey bars, we climbed up to the top and
She touched my hand that's when I fell in love

Iesha by another bad creation. I knew the artist but it took an hour of class to remember the song title. Also sorry for not posting a song after i answerd. I had to get to bed.
When they broke down the door
and put their guns in the face of your wife and child
and as they pinned you to the floor
did you say "officer, i am not resisting you. " ?
