Default Climber's body found in Alberta after 21 years

One of the few benifits of global warming I guess.

Am I reading this right or did 2 people actually die in the story?

Quote:
According to Parks Canada records from 1989, Holland's partner was temporarily stranded until another climbing party happened upon him and offered assistance. Then as the party was descending the mountain, one climber fell into a crevasse and injured his shoulder.

They left that climber in a tent and continued downward, eventually reaching a highway where they summoned help

Rescuers "went searching the following day only to discover the area was obliterated and search efforts were ceased," Lemke said, adding that Holland was presumed to have perished.

The CBC version is a bit confusing, but they went and got help for their friend in the tent but afterward could not find the fallen body.

I think probably just an example of poor writing. They probably found the guy the next day when the rescue was on, or at least I'd assume so from a standpoint of having absolutely no knowledge of how such things would work.

I'd imagine that after 26 years you'd understand that the missing person was actually a deceased person, but this is probably a relief to the family.

Did he have a bite out of his arm, and where's Grandpa Simpson at.

My first thought was of this too. No one got to ride his body down the hill like a sled though. Poor McAllister.

I say we bring him back to life, he may have much to teach us.
