Interesting concept. It might just have potential.

Shut it off and restart it. Seems to go further.

I'm at 74% now.

Seems this quote from their site sums up the
state of their software.

Soluto's stated mission is to bring an end to the frustrations PC users encounter. To that end, we employ our free desktop application product to gather and transmit completely anonymous data back to our PC Genome servers for computation and analysis.

*Soluto holds the right to change and amend its Ethical Code.

Oh, by the way, this thing also installs device drivers and modifies the registry on your machine. It’s not open source, not peer reviewed, and there’s almost no information on their site as to what exactly it does do in the background.

The only thing that MIGHT legitimize this thing is that Bessemer is one of the venture capital partners, so presumably they have done some due diligence.

Have fun!

I will run it just for kicks. My computer is unbearably slow, I plan on reformatting, just haven't got around to it. It's easier to reformat anyway rathe than spending hours trying to delete this and that and improve performance.

So unless I am misunderstanding how this works, it monitors your boot and checks to see if anything has made it worse since the last time it booted?

Seems like it might have a use somewhere, but won't be on my machine.

It then monitors what is running on your computer after the boot and tells you how to speed it up.

The irony is that these are the apps most responsible for slowing down people's computers.

From what I understand all it does is, it enables and gives advice on your startup programs and how to disable them in order to speed up your boot time. I do this on my own without having to download another application which will slow down my computer. When in doubt, I google the program to see if I really need it running all the time. One thing I disabled in my startup is my printer, it still works fine and quick whenever I need it.

yep. "Let us speed up your PC by removing unnecessary apps that run in the background, by adding an unnecessary app that runs in the background"

it looks like a pretty paint of coat for msconfig to me

Do people even boot their PC’s daily anymore? Doesn’t everyone just sleep or hibernate them?
