Gifts from Calgary/Canada?
I'm going to Japan on Saturday, and I'm having a hard time finding gifts/souvenirs (that aren't lame) to bring with me.
Outside of the obvious t-shirts, shot glasses, maple syrup, Flames stuff... Anyone have any ideas? The more unique to Calgary or Canada, the better.
Edit: In addition, good places to obtain said items :P

It's expensive, but a Hudson's Bay blanket is a pretty iconic Canadian gift. Probably way to crazy for Japan though, were I know you're expected to give everyone and their dog something....

I went to Lammles and they have some trinkets there. They have little cell phone thingies that girls like to tie to the lanyard hook. That's what I took when I went to Japan. And everyone in Japan, both boys and girls, have something hanging from their phone. Most of the time it's some kind of Anime thing that I didn't understand.

Quilts Etc has a bunch of Olympic stuff (i.e. plush mascots, mascot keychains, etc.) on clearance... maybe more Vancouver than Calgary, but definitely Canadian.

A belt-buckle the size of your face. I'm sure that sort of crap would be rather unique in Japan.

You could give them Ales Kotalik.
