Default Ignored users showing up in quotes

When I place a poster on ignore I don't have to see his posts, awesome. But when people quote their posts, I am still exposed to their awesome opinions.

Is there anyway we could make it so even a quoted post by a user I have on ignore will show up as him ignored? If you know what I mean there.. I find myself starting to read quotes in replys from other posters, then realizing half way through that I don't agree with this posting style and oh look at that it is a person I have on ignore.

Edit: I also just noticed that threads started by ignored users still show up, is there an option to get rid of this I am missing? Or could we make it so that if you have a user ignored you will never have to see anything he/she posts?

If you had the OP on the that ignore feature you wouldn't even be able to see the thread....however me on ignore I could believe.

No, I just tried it and an ignored user's threads still appear even if you can't which is too bad.

Is there any way to change this?

Works for me. I just tested it and ignored fleury. Then went back to FOI forum and his 'the dude the politician' thread is no longer there. I removed him and it was back.

That's odd. For fun, I just tried to block Fanin80 because I didn't want to see all his many Apple Megathreads anymore but they still appear for me.

Can we get this fixed? I want to 'save' Hack&Lube from Apple Threads!

It clearly didn't work, since he's still the #1 or #2 poster in all the Apple threads. I agree though, someone needs to troubleshoot this travesty of technological failures.

Oh wait... is this plugin built by Adobe? Because I've heard they have some troubles in that department...

Is there anyway that if you ignore someone that the other persons account automatically ignores you?

Like any posts made by me can't be read by a person on your ignore list? I've made the mistake of reading CP offline and the poster I ignored keeps following me around trying to insult me.

EDIT: Kinda like how Facebook works that when you block someone they can't see your profile anymore or posts in this case.

I have Apple stuff in my home. I'm typing on an Apple keyboard right now. A lot of my friends use them. I think they are cool for certain people. I think they are awesome in many ways and brought a lot of innovation that was badly needed to the computing industry, first in the early 80s, and now in the 2000s. I always make sure to say that Apple computers are pretty good in the things that I say. I don't like the company, business practices, or design philosophy, but their innovations in bringing things to market are quite good and their stuff is high quality.

I just got really tired of seeing you posting everywhere about how awesome apple is or how flash is awful or interjecting in other threads about how you can't possible believe Apple is made in the same places as other computers etc. It's an unfounded and biased belief and getting them off topic. It's like Schlitheroe saying how he knew what you were going to post. You don't have to go to bat for them in every tech thread. I never defend PCs as being awesome, they are pretty crappy to be honest and mine bluescreens whenever I least want it to, but they work for me and many other people as well.

I tried ignoring you for fun but then I see your name on the post and then I can't help but read it anyway!

No hard feelings man, all in good fun. Keep up the good work.
