Default EA Sports = FIFA Worldcup 2010

Did anyone pick it up over the last few days? I have it for the PS3 and like it but I find that the defenders don't chase the ball carrier as well as they did in FIFA SOCCER 10 that came out last October.

I haven't been able to play much, but I've enjoyed it. I didn't pick up FIFA 10 so I can't speak to any differences, but the improvement from 09 is amazing. I'm still hitting a lot of posts though, which I thought they'd worked on.

Isn't Pro Evolution Soccer supposed to be better than the EA series?

Not really anymore. EA has really picked it up in the past couple years!

I have it but haven't had time to sit down and play some games. Have watched a friend play it and it looks improved albeit marginally.

I have had some time with it and quite enjoy it, it is not worth the full price tag of $70, should be $50 regular price (maximum) but that's another story. So gameplay is very much like fifa 10 however they have improved on animations and the ball looks more active as far as bounces and such. Too many posts still, I wish EA would polish that aspect up. Commentary on this is so good, makes the regular fifa commentary look terrible. Crowds obviously add much more pop to the game. I have it on PS3 and the cutscenes seem to chug a little.

I love that Wavin' the Flag song, soundtrack fits the game well, very cultured, much better then 2006 soundtrack.

Game's pretty fun so far, really like the online world cup mode. Also it's nice to finally be able to play as Canada again.

My PS3 tag is Brasileirada for those interested in playing a head-to-head matchup or want to do our own world cup. My team is Chile.

Have the demo, and own Fifa 10. I think the gameplay in Worldcup is greatly improved.
The player movements are much more natural and the ball moves/bounces around in a more natural, less attached feel as well.
Don't think I'd pay $70 for it, but I'll be getting a friend at EA to pick it up for me at $20.

Really? I think the gameplay in FIFA is much better. Granted they've cleaned up a lot of the animations, but I think the passing and defense took a step back in World Cup.
