Default Gameshow Pedo

I wasn't born while this show was airing, but did anyone watch it?
It's a Canadian show called Just Like Mom.
The video is slightly edited, but the dude is definitely extremely creepy.

I know it was a simpler time, but yikes. I couldn't even finish watching that.

Why do parents allow their children to be on this show after seeing previous episodes where he has acted like a pedo? I definitely would not let that guy be around children.

Good old Fergie Oliver. He also used to host Jays broadcasts on CTV.

I remember that show. It was like the Newlywed Game but with children and their mothers instead of recently married couples. There were also fewer references to "making whoopie", although, after watching that, I'm sure he would have liked them.

Oh wow. I couldn't even make it to the 1 minute mark, I just got so uncomfortable I had to stop the video.

I pray to God that this is simply a case of times being different. Maybe somebody watching this in the 80's would think nothing of it.

I do remember that show..vaguely.

But anyway, Fergie comes off looking like a complete creep. It really is disturbing to see that today, but I think it's truly just a sign of the times. He seems like an honest to goodness chester molester man, but I don't know if that's really the intention there. Some guys really do just love little kids (especially girls). Back then it was ok to show it. Now, not so much. I can remember as a kid a lot of things men would say to either my Mom or sister that you just can't get away with these days but there really was no harm or foul intended, in fact just the opposite. Times have REALLY changed.

when we were kids we thought that show was pretty funny. I can't watch the link from work but I'll check it when I get home. I don't remember it being creepy at all. Everyone is just so dang sensetive these days..

The only thing I remember about that show is the kids making cakes and their moms had to figure out which gross cake was their kid's cake.

Was this show produced and filmed in the back of a van down by the river?

This show is on right now on Channel 155 on Shaw cable. Looks like he is behaving so far. I would never have noticed if it wasn't for this thread.
