Default My sillcock is leaky

Hi Fotze!

I've got a frost free sillcock/outdoor faucet, and it only leaks out of the faucet body when the tap is turned on. Water seems to be running through the rod itself.

Is it one of the seals on the weird end piece I need to replace? Any idea which one? Is this stuff pretty standardized and I'll be able to find something at Home Depot or am I screwed with needing to find manufacturer specific parts?

My stupid taps outside my house leak when the water is on as well, so I look forward to an answer. I bought new hoses, but to no avail.

Does it leak where the hose screws on to the tap, or from the tap itself?

The handle is attached to the valve stem, the valve stem passes through a packing nut, snug the packing nut.

Tried that with no luck. No idea where to get parts for this thing. I think I'll need a new washer assembly. Kinda bent the outer one by over tightening.

Maybe you can replace that whole sillcock-sucker? I think I bought one for 17 bucks at the big box. I think the part that went through the foundation wall was threaded.

Just replace the whole damn thing! 15- 20 bucks at Canadian Tire, It'll take you about 10 to 20 Min to DIY.

Your pipes are backed up. Get your wife to pull the sillcock back and forth. Eventually the liquid will be released.
