Default New Age terrorists develop homeopathic bomb

Quote:
Homeopathic bombs are comprised of 99.9% water but contain the merest trace element of explosive. The solution is then repeatedly diluted so as to leave only the memory of the explosive in the water molecules. According to the laws of homeopathy, the more that the water is diluted, the more powerful the bomb becomes.

Homeopaths are crazy. Basically in homeopathy, you take something and dilute it over and over and over again, up to a million times.

Science tells us that you get plain water. Homeopaths believe you get water with the key elements of whatever that something was remains and had gotten stronger with every dilution.

Homeopathy is an "alternative medicine" based on the fact that you take something and dilute it over and over again, and the substance becomes stronger every time you dilute it.

I think the confusion comes because society as a whole equates the term 'homeopathic' with any sort of alternative medicine, when in reality, its just one ridiculous type of it.

No Complementary or Alternative Therapy (CAM) has been shown to be more effective than a placebo. (Snake Oil Science, BAUSELL). CAM is a wide umbrella, including, indigenous systems, chinese medicine, ayurvedic medicine, native american medicine, tibetan medicine, osteopathic medicine, naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, chiropractic, spiritual healing, and relaxation therapies.

"Millions of intelligent people could be correct when they conclude that their symptoms were relieved as soon as they received a CAM treatment, but incorrect when they conclude that the relief was due to the treatment itself" (Bausell, p. xvii.)

I wouldn't go quite that far - herbal medicines tend to be classified as CAM but some of them work (and get turned into proper medicines - lots of our drugs started out that way). Similarly chiropractic can have some benefit for the lower back, just not all the other things that chiropractors claim it can treat. It's more that the CAM that are found to work tend to get integrated into mainstream medicine, while the followers of the ones that are shown not to work stubbornly cling to their beliefs.

Homeopathy, of course, is complete and utter nonsense.

So let me get this straight. The more water that I add to Kool-aid the tastier, sweeter and more concentrated it becomes. I'm amazed that the Kool-aid commando's haven't tried to take the homeopathic movement out, if this works it could cost them billions, if not and more fearfully millions.

It'd work better than the homeopathic one.

And after those millions were properly diluted, they'd be almost bankrupt!

I am completely unafraid of this bomb, and am highly skeptical in regards to its efficiency.
