The Flames complete the upset of the top seed Minnesota Wild with another one goal victory, 3-2. The Flames got goals from 3 different scorers tonight: Spezza, Zubov and Tkachuk, it was the first goal of the playoffs for all 3 forwards. Cam Ward was good again tonight making 21 saves.

Congrats to Grant on a great season.

Well the Ducks failed to show up in so many ways for this one. Better pick up the intensity for a game 6 in our own barn.

Wow...after the first game, the Wings just packed it in and rolled over. We outscored them 21-7 in the series. Bobby Lou shed the choker label in the first round, leading all goalies in GAA and Sv%.

Looks like we sit back and wait for the winner of the Ducks/ Oilers series

No offseason press conference post tonight!!

Stars win 3-1 to force Game 6. Fabian Brunnstrom got things going with a PPG before the ice was dry in the 2nd period. Dubinsky added one for a 2-0 lead, and Richard Park got the insurance goal in the 3rd period.

What could be critical is, Cooke got Volchenkov in the first period of the game and he's out for the next game at least.

Congrats to Mike and the Flames - they were full value for the win. It's not like Cam Ward stole this series - we were outplayed in four of the five games. Not sure what happened to my team that seemed to have so much chemistry for the regular season. In fact I don't think we lost 4 in a row at all this year - until this series.

A full recap will follow in the next few days.

Pekka Rinne takes to the net and the Oilers respond with a 4-2 win to live another day. Martin Havlat and some of the other Oilers top players wake up and put up some points for once. Now the question is....go with Rinne again next game, or give Osgood one last chance?

In other news.

Ha ha Stupid Wild. Thats what you get for being chicken.

And this one never gets old. Ha ha stupid Red Wings.

Well that was a stinker of a game and series. My fault in this one as I ended up out of town unexpectedly and unable to get my lines in.

Brutal goaltending was my problem most of the season and it showed tonight with a season high 9 goals against.

I new I was in trouble heading into the playoffs against the Blues. They went on quite a tear in the last 10 games or so of the regular season. Congrats to the Blues and the best of luck in the next round against the "Ducks."
