Default Someone know how to fix a carburetor?

This car I have has been in my family for awhile but it seems the carburetor is shot. I'm told someone who knows what they are doing can repair one in about an hour. I'd take 8 and forget some parts.... Let me know via PM.

best not to try it yourself unless you know how to set it up properly. Do yourself a favour, get the model number off of the main body (cast number), phone up napa or canadian tire, buy the rebuild kit and a float. Call a few shops and ask them how much $$$$, they will only charge you a couple of hours. If you let a shop do it, they will dissasemble it and throw the pieces in an acidic bath that will clean out all the internal passages (lots of tiny little air bleeds and such).....shouldnt cost you that much
