Default Reducing Trolls in GDT GT PGT

We could reduce the amount of new trolls in GDT/GT/PGT if we make a subforum inside Fire on Ice: The Calgary Flames Forum just for GDT, GT, PGT and put a minimum requirement for post counts before being allowed to post in them. (Similar to the ticket exchange forum, well I think that was the one with 100 post requirement).

Hm.. this is interesting. It would also let us ban people from just game threads.

You passed up 'that's what she said' for this?

For shame.

Also, I think this is a good idea.

Maybe there is a way to make certain threads 100+ post threads?

Part of the problem of making posting requirements for subforums is that it encourages (in these cases) jerks to clutter up other threads in the Fire and Ice forum with craptastic posts (which I guess they are making anyway) to get into the sub forum.

If it's just a thread, then there isn't much incentive to make more than their usual quota of skid mark commentary.

They might do that once or twice but after awhile, it will get really annoying for them make a new account, post 100 posts, then write one or two trolling messages before getting banned again.

Plus, if they're trolling in other threads in the Fire on Ice forum, mods can ban them at that point anyway.

This is an example of the junk that shouldn't be allowed on this board IMO: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=89125

It may not be 'wrong', but you know exactly how you come across; like a dick.

edit: I should say, not all the time, or even a majority, but you know when you are trying to get a reaction, just like I know when I am trying to get a reaction.

If that's how you want to be viewed, I won't complain about your posts, but acting like some victim every time someone responds is pretty immature.

Frankly, I wish peopled just ignored each other around here.

Would be nice if you could censor some posters from using certain words.

jschick and 'troll' would be top of my list.

tranny and 'did you read' would probably be second.
