In regards to Rickards White, it puts the 'gay' in 'beer'.

Liquid laxative. Ideal for cleansing your system. Not so good for drinking.

What the?! I don't mind Rickard's at all. Not my first choice, but definitely ahead of Canadian, Kokanee, Keith's, etc., on my list.

Yup. Red was quite good when it was brewed by Capilano Brewery, and went downhill after Molson took over.
Rickard's White is one of the best mass-produced Canadian beers, though. Skip the fruity orange.

Take one of the worst beers out there and don't put it in your mouth.

Rickards Honey brown is one of the best beers I have tasted in a while.
The rest blow goats though...

It's like ordering a Kokanee, drinking it until you puke; the puke going into your pint--stirring it around a little, then drinking it. That my friends is how Rickards is brewed.
I've heard rumors that a little period blood is added, but I'm not sure if I believe that one or not.
Too far?
I really do hate most Canadian beers, and believe Rickards is the worst.
At least Canadian/Kokanee are drinkable as they are generic.

I once had a Caesar described to me the same way as I was halfway through my first sip after a bender the night before....I've never touched one since.

What the - rickards was bought out by molson? Had no idea luckily rickards is a last resort thing for me too.
There are so many better ones than a rickards red:
Traditional Ale
Newcastle Brown Ale
Tankhouse Ale
to name a few

I like the new Rickards dark. I would much much much rather have a Red or a Dark over a Canadian or a Kokanee.
I love the beer snobs in these threads. Period blood is good for you.
