So anyone see it yet?

Interesting plot. Basically it deals with the US invasion of Iraq and the whole 'intelligence' issue in regards to the existence of WMDs.

I know its an obviously made up story, but it seems to cut very close to what might have actually happened. Of course, we don't know for sure because the US government would never admit that their multi-billion dollar intelligence community screwed the pooch big time.

Pretty good movie. Matt Damon does a good job in these types of action flicks.

Regardless of whether the movie is true or not, one of the central 'plots' of the movie is the US refusing to use the existing Iraqi Army at the time of the invasion to help stem violence in the country. An absolutely brutal mistake by the US, and probably one that cost thousands of lives, billions of dollars and maybe even 5 years longer on the timeline.

Japan and Germany post WW2. With both countries the allied nations used the existing armies to rebuild the country. Look at both nations today. Staunch allies and economic powerhouses.

The film's action sequences were filmed on a handy cam and so it is hard to watch if you get motion sickness. The movie was ok, or more like meh.

Typical Paul Greengrass. I like his movies but someone needs to tell him the whole "Blair Witch Project" shaky camera thing has been done to death.

Haven't seen it, but from the Trailers it looks like it's supposed to be a Bourne movie, but there's no more sequels left for Bourne so they made this instead.

It's Bourne in Iraq. I still have to see the movie. My eagerness to watch this movie is solely based on Damon's character in Bourne Trilogy.

I love Greengrass's use of the hand-held camera in fights. If it's even close to as visceral as the action in the Bourne films, I'm sold.

There is already another Bourne film in the works. According to Matt Damon, it will be a prequel. Paul Greengrass may or may not be involved as well.

That was in 2008. I thought Greengrass said more recently he wanted no part of another Bourne film, but Damon has still stated he'd do one if Greengrass directed agan? Pretty sure that was just before The Green Zone debuted.

Yeah, it's not happening any time soon.

I think Quantum of Solace will be better when we get the next installment. Sort of how The Search for Spock is somehow drastically improved by The Voyage Home.

Either way, Bourne would kick Bond's ass.

Already saw the same movie involving Jason Bourne three times. No sense paying for a fourth.
