That gets me a little choked up. Vert well done by Brokaw and NBC.

quite touching. A lot of stuff in there that I wasnt even aware of. As a duel citizen due to my place of birth I can sometimes overcompensate for it by being pretty anti-american, its nice to see some respect from some of their biggest personalities.
It could be that I'm 8 months pregnant, hormonal and a bit homesick at the moment (man I wish I was back in Calgary watching the game tonight...) but that seriously brought tears to my eyes and got me a bit emotional.
Since I'm in England I likely would have missed this if it hadn't been posted here. Thank you to the OP for posting this.
that's why i watched the NBC coverage of the opening day ceremonies over CTV, it was neat to hear the announcers explain all the Canadian content and see things from a different perspective. NBC's announcers have also all been very excited when they've covered a Canadian winning gold, and Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir were on the front page of nbcsports.com
i've been very impressed with their coverage so far. covering all the American athletes first as to be expected, but i've seen no bias in how they call the events
