My husband and I always go ice side for the Flames warm up and usually sit near to the goal and behind the netting. Last night we had been given tickets by a friend, so I said, 'Let's sit further round where there is no net and see if we can if get a puck for our friend.' Sat in the second row, having a great time, when, WHAM! a puck hit me in the head. My husband sort of sat there looking at me (and the blood running down my face) and one of the stewards came forward and said he would take me to the medical room. Anyhoo, the staff there were very good and within 20 minutes they had cleaned me up and glued my wound together, because stitches would have meant hospital and I didn't want to miss the game.
And yes, I did get the puck. The woman sitting behind me caught it as it boinged off my head and I told her I had earned it and she grudgingly gave it over.
So do the Flames call me, send me autographed jerseys, give me season tickets? I was very brave and didn't cry and it freakin' hurts this morning so any sympathy is greatly appreciated!!

On a side note, I witnessed this event and recall laughing hysterically at your misfortune. Sorry about that. Not really.

I would have been more impressed if she'd glued the wound together herself in the Bathroom, then jumped on the ice crazy like and gone after Spezza.
But I have high standards when it comes to chicks.
I am going to do a sign for the next game demanding to know who hit the puck!
My incident happened a few minutes before the glass breaking incident up the other end. The people that had minor cuts from that came into the medical room when I was in there and Spezza had given the kid his stick. (The man made more fuss than me and he a teeny tiny cut that didn't even warrant a band aid!)

So wait; you sat in a place with no netting specifically so you could get a puck.
You end up getting hit by a puck and now you want free stuff from the Flames?
Just go stand behind someone backing out of a parking spot; I hear that can be much more lucrative.

I am still waiting to be compensated for being sh1tkicked by 2 of the yellow shirt security guards that used to work the Sport Chek Zone over a case of mistaken identity. Not kidding you, I was beat up , like really beat up, (busted lip black eyes etc) by 2 of them in the side stairwells where you exit from the blacks in 2006. They even smashed my cell phone when I was trying to call the cops. Ripped a 700 lambskin jacket, got blood all over my Jersey (which I admit is kinda cool). I will admit I called them dickless-roid-head-minimum wage-rent-a-cops when I was getting ejected, but the whole thing was all over something I didn't do.
I had over 10 witnesses, and numerous people went to the security office to back me up... what did I get? Lower bowl tickets for the remainder of the game and a beer once they had realized the error, and that I was a STH. I was told to sue the security company they sub contracted to, but the problem is without the identity of the guy who did the pounding, I was screwed, and he left as soon as the police went looking for him. 1 week later, they no longer had the yellow shirt guys up there. Unofficially, I heard it was because of my incident. So knowing I cost them their contract with the Flames was solace enough.
So the likelyhood of being compensated... doubtful.
And yes I realize you were joking....

They briefly show you in the TSN highlights of the Flames game. Assuming that was you. Head over to TSN.ca and watch the Flames-Sens highlights and there is a brief clip and mention of someone getting hurt from a puck when Spezza broke the glasss.
