Capitals Needs/Wants

Barring any injuries the Capitals top 3 lines and D-pairings are pretty much set. Mason will be the man in net for the team heading into the playoffs.

What we do want is to bolster the 4th line and add some depth on D in case of injuries.

I would like to pick up a 60 to 62ish 4th liner.... could be a UFA or a guy not in the NHL anymore.

I would also like to pick up a 60ish Dman to act as a 7th guy in case of injury.

I would consider upgrading Hedberg as the backup goalie for a pending UFA backup of higher rating... however, this is not a priority and I will not sell the farm to acheive this.


I am willing to move the following prospects to fill these needs...

Trevor Smith
Robin Figren
Peter Olvecky
Nathan Lawson
Tyler Plante
and anyone else not named Petrecki, Khudobian or Rakshani

Caps have brought in Ville Koistinen and Derek Armstrong for injury insurance.

Grant Lewis, Justin Falk and Ben Winnett are heading to Siberia.

Thanks Chad for the easy peasy deal.

Still would consider an improvement at the backup position, however seeing as i am Now completely Capped out... It will be difficult to do this.
