Default Consumer complaint contact information?

Where do I go to file a consumer complaint regarding "Extreme Pita" at the University? Today I was unable to use a coupon because the store wasn't participating in the promo even though it was not stated on the coupon. According to the cashier they have turned away several customers with coupons because the manager told the employees to reject them.

The coupon was only going to save me couple bucks but thats not the point, if they're not participating than write it on the coupon, don't make up your own rules.

Anyways who can I contact to file a complaint? I'd like to talk to a person not just fill out a form etc.

Same thing happened to my friend a the Dairy Queen at the U of C. The coupon made no mention of whether or not it was only valid at participating locations, yet the manager wouldnt accept it. He claimes it was because he has never accepted online coupons.

U of C food joints generally don't accept the coupons... they're not owned by the franchise cartels (except Chartwells owned stuff, but that's an entirely different beast) and so they are just mom-and-pop type places with a brand name.

Does it matter who they're owned by? they are using the franchise name and the franchise has issued coupons and if you're not going to honor them than write on it.

I've had A&W coupons that say "valid at participating locations" and the U of C store refuses, fine with that BUT when you don't write it than you're in.

Chartwells is evil, plain and simple. Their contract with the University gives them crazy power.

Anyone who has attended UofC recently, knows of Ploughboy in ICT building. They went under recently and Chartwells wants to put a Tim Horton's there. The problem is the space isn't big enough, so they pressured the University to increase the rent of the neighboring Family Mart to $150 /sqft. Now Family Mart is a small family run convenience store that doesn't rip off every student who walks through the door, so they can't afford what amounts to rent rates similar to downtown Calgary, so they need to leave.

To top this all off, Chartwells contract with the University states that despite what the rent for a location is, they don't need to pay any rent on any of their locations unless they make a certain amount of money in a year. Now this might seem like a mutually beneficial deal for both the University and Chartwells, except that Chartwells has never made large enough of a profit to pay any rent to the University.

So students are paying through the nose for classes, and the University is kicking companies who actually pay the Uiversity money out of retail space so Chartwells can have the space for free.

Total Bullcrap.
