Itunes Adding Artist Info

This seems to me like some sort of crazy virus or something. It just started happening recently.

I keep my music library pretty organized, in the past I found that having two songs by the same artist, one with album information and other without would cause the song missing information to not show up on my ipod. Thus I from then on deleted all the information about each song except for artist and song title.
Just recently itunes has been re-adding all the information that I've deleted in the past. The correct album, producers etc. all show up. Also in the comments section there is always some strange number combination (why I think it seems like a strange virus).
It just seemed to start happening, I can't think of what I've done differently than what I've been doing in the past, so I post here wondering if anyone has any ideas or answers.

The odd numbers in the comment section are probably a result of the program used to rip or encode the song, not a virus.

The re-added info is a result of the way itunes manages ID3 tags.

Anyone else have any ideas?
It's really annoying.
It's really weird how it just randomly started happening.
Songs that I've had for years all of the sudden get all their info (can't remember if they had it to begin with)

So you're drunk (4AM post) and trying to manage your music library? That is never good.

Did you ever have one of those "auto-naming" prgrams that fills it out automatically? Maybe that has run amok?

I wish my files would get sorted out properly!
