Toronto's Trade Deadline Plans
Well, current trends didn't continue...
We're in an interesting situation, as we really don't have any UFA issues heading into the offseason. The team we have today could very well be the team we start the season tomorrow with.
Having said that, I'm willing to entertain trade possibilities to help teams move forward with their playoff runs.
Players that could be had easier than others:
Steve Sullivan
Kristian Huselius
Jarred Boll
Mike Knuble
Mikael Samuelsson
Filip Kuba
Brad Stuart
Having said that, everyone and anyone is available, including Ryan Getzlaf, but he is the cornerstone of this franchise moving forward. You'll have to make a darn good arguement for me to move him.
The curse with my roster is that I don't have much depth to replace these guys for picks alone. Maybe for the first little bit, but not for everyone. Also, cap can be moved, but nothing will be moved for next season.
Looking to get younger... rebuild this team over the offseason, lick my wounds and move on.
