Before i start, yes this is somewhat childish.
As some of you may now the English are re-building their famous national football stadium, Wembley. As part of this hugely expensive renovation (which the whole UK is paying for) there is a new footbridge leading to the main plaza type square outside the stadium. They have decided to leave the naming of this bridge to the Great British public.
Since England won the World Cup in 1966 we are constantly reminded of it at every (and thats not much of an exageration) opportunity and their smugness at this now ancient achievement is as strong as ever.
However, in 1967 Scotland played the world champions England at the same Wembley ground that just last year they had won the World Cup. Scotland toyed with England in the best performance in their history, winning 3-2. As if this itself was not enough one Scottish player, Jim Baxter, did the unprecedented by performing "keepie-uppies" (keeping the ball off the ground by volleying/heading it and keeping under control) while running down the wing.
This has become so famous that even the English have allowed Jim Baxter in to their international hall of fame thus, we the Scottish people, feel this would be a magnificent and entriely reasonable name for the bridge. Please add your vote here.
