Oh no this was actually real olympic sports, not the winter ones that were created for countries like Canada who can barley break double digits in medals in real "summer" sports!.

I just recently pulled my old system out of the closet. I need a new cord because right now mine is busted where I have to choose between sound or video.
The games are still fun to play, but without the original sound, it just seems to be lacking the full nostalgia.
I also went and looked on the charts. I don't have any of the big money earners, and none of my games are boxed and/or sealed, but I did have some games that were around the $10 mark. Pretty cool if I ever want to sell my system and/or games.

Did we really lose? I mean we came in to your country , beat you at your "own game" once, and took you to the limit in the championship game. For a team that was supposed to be a longshot for bronze , I dont really consider that losing. Plus we beat you as many times as you beat us.
My favorite Canadian phrase I have heard though is the Americans were just lucky the whole tourney. I laugh when I hear this, especially from Moon , They were all home games for you and it took you a shoot-out where your best player had to shoot twice to win a game, you lost a game, and barely escaped a slovakia team to slip into the finals.. and still got to and won a Gold medal game... I mean really which team had to employ more luck to get to where they were in the tourney???
.... ohh and not to mention almost doubled ya up on the medal count. I dont consider the winter games a loss for the US...
Now lets go back to the Summer Olympics in '08 ... U.S had triple digits in medals and Canada had umm I think it was 18 .... talk about losing eh?
edit: and please no one be offended.... we ( well at least I am ) just tossing out harmless barbs at my canadian friends. I know you guys won Gold at Hockey and you deserved it . You were the most talented team at the games. and dont bother trying to be a jerk about what I am saying... I have gotten from every one of my Wife's family in the last 2 days ... it doesnt faze me .... and please realize , everything I am saying is in fun !!!

Yeah, you did well in hockey, kind of like a personal BT thing reserved for when you lose, but gained a lot of respect. Nothing personal here, you seem like a pretty good guy.
If you missed it the only countries that count total medals for determining the games winner, are the US and Canada, the rest of the world counts total gold, with silver and bronze as tie breakers, so in the world's view, Canada's 14 gold won.
As far as the Summer Games goes, we have a tenth the population of your country and only a small area that is barely conducive to all year training, so don't expect us to ever make an overall challenge there.
What this Olympics has done for Canada is that it's shown the a financial commitment to our athletes is paying off.
Until fairly recently we never gave University Athletic scholarships to our young and very little other support for any of our athletes. We had this dumb idea that our athletes should be fully amateur and our schools shouldn't have the pressure of maintaining athletic students who otherwise wouldn't qualify. That's all changed in the modern Olympics and Canada finally acknowledged it.
Sorry for the high jack.

no highjack.... I like hearing other pts of views.... however like you said ... Canada and America use total medal count.... so you argument about the world is moot point here... I respect Canada, as a matter of fact I love Canada. I would move there if I wasnt running the family business here.
I just like to give smart ass jabs back when the occasion arises
