Default I'm looking for an eye doctor

Can anyone recommend an ophthalmologist? Somewhere in the SW - nearest to Cedarbrae wins! Or can I just go to see my optomotrist? Don't know what they are qualified to diagnose and treat.

Thanks, guys! (appropriate smiley because I do look like I am winking all the time!)

He probably can't even see this thread to reply, anyway.

What's your issue, Suzles? Are you concerned that you have there's something wrong with your eyes in a disease sense like an infection or injury - or is your concern more to do with vision and vision correction (like glasses or contacts?)

I recently saw Dr. Froese-Loewen at Eye-Effex in Stratchona. She is an optomertist, so she deals mostly in vision and vision-correction however she specializes in dry eye and chronic eye-conditions.

I saw Dr. Andrew Chriton (opthalmologist) a number of years back for a raging eye-infection/injury. I was quite happy with the way it all worked out.

I believer that Hesla is our CP resident eye doctor, and he can probably give you a few names

Just had a chronic weeping eye for a while. Feels dry and gritty at the same time (go figure). My family doctor gave my some erithromycin ointment which didn't really make any difference. I just thought I should probably see an eye problem specialist.

Its going to be tough to look for an eye doctor if you cant see.

Andy Chrichton is the best glaucoma specialist in Canada in my opinion. He's been my dad's ophthamologist for 20+ years. I've seen him several times, however, he is a specialist.
