anyone else watch last night?
I was jealous that they went to Peru, I'd love to go sometime.
Rob @ Ambuh started slowly but had a great finish, only a traffic jam stopped them from winning. The mother and son combo was really good, their dislike of the Survivors was kind of funny. I can see Debbie and Bianca killing each other before this is done. Lynn and Alex are hilarious. How did I know Ray was going to be the one I really didn't like this time? Too bad about the lovable hillbillies, they were pretty funny as well. Megan and Heidi, the boobsey twins, barely stayed in there.
Pretty good episode. I was laughing my ass off watching some of the teams try to rope and move llamas around. Gretchen and Meredith schooled everyone here. The zip line looked like tons of fun. My own lungs hurt watching everyone carrying the baskets to the market. The air is just a little thin up there. I haven't been a religious watcher of the show, I'll do my best to keep up with this one.

Great start to the best reality<sic> show out there!
It should be interesting to see how Bawston Rob and Amber hold up. I wouldnt bet against them...this is a two person race and no matter how you try to spin it you cannot create teams in this kind of game. They seem to work very well together and that bodes well for them in the long run.
Loved watching the teams trying to speak spanish...undulay undalay...LOL....too many Bugs Bunny cartoons I think! Speedy Gonzales!

Good episode I thought which was a good thing after the huge disappointment that was TAR6.
Plenty of interesting teams this time around and no models in sight! I was disappointed that the Hillbilly's got knocked out. They would have provided solid laughs every episode for sure. It was really funny when one of them mentioned that they would be testing out the weight load on the zip lines and they had banjo music playing in the background. I don't know there's just something funny about banjo music!
Most teams seem to have a dislike/hate on for Team Survivor. Never watched the show so they didn't bother me any. The gay couple provided some solid laughs too.
All in all that was a really good first show with no one to really hate compared to the last race where it hard to find anyone to really like.

a solid episode for sure.
Phil Keoghan says that this is one of their best seasons
I said before this all started that Rawb and Ambuh should do well. they are a proven team. I never factored in the help from strangers angle that worked to their advantage this week
Yes other teams will be gunning for them, but its unclear to me how easy it is (if at all) to really 'take down' another team in Amazing Race
I still don't like people saying "well they have a million they don't deserve to win"...a look at the 'scenes from home' of mom and her teenager suggest they aren't too poor themselves. I'm sure other teams are well off also. who cares!
certainly does seem to be some stronger/brighter teams than last season
also one thing I do like about Rawb and Ambuh: they don't panic! I always laugh when teams kill themselves getting to an airport, and then all end up on the same flight....

I think most of the teams are worrying way too much about Rob and Amber. This could cause a lot of distractions and cost teams in the long run.
I'm glad the show is back! I was sad to see the Hillbillies go, but there are a lot of zany characters left on there to root for.

No kidding. I was kinda rooting for the redneck hillbillies, you never knew if they were going to stop the car in order to grab a case of Old Milwaukee from the 7-Eleven on the way. Just some good ol' boys
The two brothers are interesting (I've dubbed them Beavis & Butthead), and then there are the two raving gay guys, some blond bimbos... :P. I thought for sure the two old farts weren't going to make it.

It was a decent episode. I dont like how some teams think rob and amber are a super couple. I think it may screw them in the end. And the mom and son thinking they allied with rob and amber. If anybody screws anybody over its rob and amber, didnt they watch survivor?

Oh man, as long as they show that one gay guy running all the time, this will be the best race yet. My wife and I almost fell off the couch the first time they showed that Sally running! Haha! Good stuff!!

I don't think enough people give Rob and Ambah enough credit for, not how smart they are, but how canny they are. The line when Rob helped out the other team, had me laughing as he basically showed us how he was thinking. But Ambah is the rock of that team, both in brains and as a calming influence.
They're not my early pick to win, but i think they'll be in the final 4 teams, and they're going to screw over some of the suckers to get there.

They are really ramping up the gayocity on this one. The gay couple, the gay son, and is it just me or did they edit that thing to make it look like the redhead (Debbie) has a real love-on for her teammate?
They showed her kiss her at least once and had a few shots of her longingly staring at Bianca. Beavis and Butthead caught on to this in the airport as well.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Tough break for the hicks but at least they got out of Butcher's Holler for a few days.

This is one area of TV that drives me nuts. You hear all this talk about how gays and lesbians are not being proportionately represented on TV from the G&L organizations. So there's 3 (maybe more) on AR7.
How many Asians or Latinos are there on the show? Zilch. Then again, how many Asians are on TV period? (That don't know Karate or are a female sex kitten) I can think of one. Ensign Harry Kim. And he's the freaking science officer.... how stereotypical is that? Why not just make him the math officer?
EDIT-I realize that one of the blonde girls is half Latino but it's not like you'd spot that without a DNA test....

Math Officer thats classic, wonder why it dosen't happen
Janeway - Assemble an away team, myself, the smarmy Vulcan, the hot chick in spandex, and ensign Ricky over there
Math officer - According to my calculations you have one red shirted ensign so the survival probability is 4-x=y whereas X = redshirted ensign ricky who's well a readshirt, so if you fill in 1 for x y =3 which means three of you will survive
Janeway - Wonderful Mr Kim, good work
ensign Ricky - oh crap

Man, what a good show. I will be rooting for Rob and Ambuh to go all the way. The fact that the other teams hate them without even knowing them is pretty pathetic.
It looks like in next weeks show somebody calls Rob a liar, and he loses it.
That mother son team drives me crazy.
They showed the gay guys a little too much, but it was funny when the one guy said "Muy! Muy! Muy!...wait, what am I saying? Very very very?"

Don't forget Relic Hunter. She's a sex kitten and a scientist. She's covering all the bases.
Speaking of Sex Kittens, whatever happened to Connie Chung?

the one thing that sucked was, it was the same challenge as the one Johnathan and Victoria messed up on last season, just replace donkey with llama and 35 lb of plant with 35lb of brick. It seems like their running out of ideas.

There sure was a lot of whining about the "gruelling" task of carrying the alfalfa, but it seemed like a rather wimpy thing. Not easy, with the altitude but not exactly a life-beater. 7 year old children walk around with 15 or 20 pound backpacks all the time.
The average person walks 4mph so I can't imagine they were out there for more than 25 minutes, max but some of them were just dieing.

it's the elevation that'd kill them in Peru. The weight was nothing.
