Default Time Clock Program

Anyone know of a simple, preferably free program that helps you keep track of how much time you spend on a certain job?

I just want something where I can put in different customers and keep track of the time that I spend doing work for them and then add it up after a couple months so I can send them a bill.

If you need something for the interim, Excel has time formatting for cells.

You could create 3 cells like ( Time Started | Time Finished | Total Time ) with cell C having the formula C2 = B2 - A2

Then at the end you could sum it all the entries.

It's pretty manual, but it would work.

Google "open source time management tool"

There are many options depending on how powerful you need. These are more geared toward larger development projects, but would certain work on a smaller scale.

We used to use this years ago to track support calls.
