The Habs would like to nominate the following players for the POW award:
Player - Rick Nash

This one was a toss-up between Koivu and Nash but we went with Nash because he had 3 1st star nominations out of 5 games. He single-handedly won 3 of our games and continues to put the puck in the net. He now leads the CPHL in goals with 53 goals and is playing very good hockey.
Defenseman - Braydon Coburn

Coburn doesn't get any PP time so for him to get 5pts is big. He was also a very solid +4 and is now a +41 on the year.
Goalie - Anterro Niittymaki

Crappy Player - Shane Doan - 72 OVR

Doan, who is a 72 OVR and was supposed to come in and help provide some additional scoring for the Habs did pretty much the opposite. With top line time he just couldn't produce. He had lots of shots on net but was snake-bitten with a shooting percentage 1.82%. Sometimes players need a change of scenery so hopefully he succeeds in St. Louis.
