Curling is like winter golf. It's a great sport to watch on a Sunday afternoon if your number 1 goal is having a fantastic nap.

Wow, if curling wasn't hard enough to watch normally, with Norway's wonderful clown pants plus the bright blue and green rings, this is just painful.
Hopefully Martin doesn't screw this tournament up like he always seems to do in international competition.
What an exciting first end. Was there ever more than one rock in play?

Wow surprised at the hate for curling.
I for one enjoy it. Watching it right now and looking forward to attending the women's draw tomorrow morning.

I'm also a fan of curling. I used to despise the sport; but once I met my wife, and quickly realized that curling was to her what Hockey was to me, I decided to give it a chance.
Surprisingly, I found myself really enjoying it and I'm glad I got into it.
Aside from Hockey, Curling is the sport im looking forward to watching most at these Olympics.

Not much of a game. Martin is just dismantling the Norwegians.

Curling is probably the only sport in the Olympics that I don't play but like to watch. Of course I can't just sit there and watch a whole game, I have to be doing other things while watching. But it's enjoyable.
Actually I hated Curling before we went curling in Grade 12 gym class and played. The skill it takes is ridiculous... and it's plenty of fun.

Curling is like bocce ball to me. Its fun to play, terrible to watch.
However, we are really really really good at it. Go Canada. MArtin is making mincemeat out of these fancy pants Norwegians.

Woops. 5-4 is not as comfy as 5-1

Yeah. Better to make that miss on day 1 than in the medal round though.

Yea, but to be honest from what I understand the main competition is GBR. They absolutely wrecked Randy Ferbey in the skins competition....apparently Ferbey didn't get a single skin.

Knowing nothing of curling, what are the (realistic) expectations for the Canadians? Are they expected to medal? Who is the country to beat?
Curling is one of those sports that I always wanted to get into watching, but never really managed it. I was in a rec league for a short period of time, and I had a lot of fun, but that never translated into me being able to watch it.
