A sloppy final period by the Habs but we manage to squeak the win out in a shootout to beat the Sabres. Niittymaki continues to play solidly as he remains undefeated in a Habs uniform. Eriksson had 2g tonight and Koivu with a pair of assists.

Second line (Smyth-McDonald-Guerin) comes up big in a 5-1 win over the Islanders. They combined for 7 points. Move 8 points up on 9th place and within 2 pts of the division leading Caps with 3 games in hand. Morale is at the highest its been all year (93).

Sneaked out a SO win. Solid games from Pitkanen and Booth. Next up is an off-day and than we gear up for another shot at the Habs.

Briere is out and Savard is in.

Patrick Kane will get another new centerman, he will be given next 2 games to breakout after that he'll be available if he did sucked in these 2 games.
