What is the youngest person a 33 year old man should go out with?
My buddy is 33 and is dating a 19 year old (woman?). I find it pretty weird, she just seems like a kid and I don't really like hanging out with her. What is up with this guy?
What would be a good rule of thumb?

I don't know what kind of fancy math you are doing AC, but you can't divide 33 by 2.

You can date anyone willing to date you aslong as she's above the age of consent.

Ummm, pretty sure it's 0 you can't divide by. Not 2...
As for the 19 year old in question, as long as she's out of high school....

My girlfriend just turned 6, Im 20... Too far?
same age difference.
But in reality I think thats pushing it, sure the gap of appropriateness grows as you get older but c'mon... That seems weird.

That's why the 1/2 + 7 works so well. It's a sliding scale. Because age difference is so much less noticable after 30.
Although I can see why a 33 year old would want to date a 19 year old. Not sure I see the flip side of that...

So your plan is to go to your buddy and say, "Random people on the internet disapprove of your relationship!" and then he'll... not care?
A better question would be, "How can I sabotage my buddy's relationship with this ditzy but hot 19 year old he's going out with?" Then we would reply, "This thread is useless without pictures!", and things would degenerate into farce in a way that would help you not one bit - but at least we'd all be laughing.

What's the law say?
Go with that. It's up to you to figure if you're being creepy or not.
And why don't you take a seat over here?

Yeesh! I'm 25 and not comfortable dating anyone under 20. A 14 year gap is a little much for me.

To be quite honest my Tit's Maggie is just the ripe age of 24 7 days ago.... I'm 33. I love the joke "When this came out you were _______." They never get old. Now you ask about a 19 year old? The "sex act" or "act of having sex" isn't a habit yet no? They need to take those non kid pills till the age of 20 minimum... Your friend has a problem.
Does he vaccinate or not?

My wife is 5 years younger than me. When I got back into dating a few years back, I didn't consider anyone more than 5 years older/younger than me. I just figured there would be too many maturity problems.
Like the OP said, I figured they would act like kids. At the time I probably wouldn't have thought twice about nailing an 19 year old, but I wouldn't bother trying to have a real relationship with one, it would be too annoying.
