I've been using limewire for the past 8 months or so, but it seems to be sucking real bad lately.

What do you guys use to download your MP3's now?

3. Thou shalt keep thy posts legal. Copyrighted material may not be reproduced in part or in full on the forum, post links to photos or articles that you do not own the copyrights to. You may include a two or three paragraph excerpt to give the general idea you want to discuss (unless the article is only that long, then just post a link). Posts with links to illegal download sites and such may be edited and/or deleted. Links to short videos are acceptable as long as the video/site isnt for profit and it isnt a significant amount of unaltered game footage (e.g. an entire period or game). Calgarypuck HAS been sued in the past over this issue, so moderators will be pretty strict about this.

In theory it's legal, but until tested in court it's all theory. If you guys want to be the first in the courts to test the law that's fine, but putting the forum owner in the position of potentially having to do it is unfair IMO.

Talking in general about applications and newsgroups is fine, but please refrain from posting links to sources.

Thanks.

It's not file sharing but allofmp3.com.

Dirt cheap prices and I don't have to wait to get what I want.

I miss Audio Galaxy.

Anyone know of anything similar out there?

I know a friend who knows another friend who thinks Limewire is pretty decent.

My friend of another friend has been using it for almost a year and had no problems.

I once made the mistake of getting Kazaa lite, turns out it's the number one way to transmit viruses and spyware on the net. No mean feat.
So I tried WinMX which works sorta and Limewire had lots of problems for me. Java problems I believe.
I posted a thread a while ago when I was looking which disappeared like the Mary Celeste, with out a trace. So I can see why people were saying "bye bye" for the thread.
